I want this dog!

So, most people know I am more of a dog person than a cat person. I also have always wanted an English Bulldog. I even know I that I would name him Pork Chop. I love this video because it is totally something I could see he and I doing. You know, we get up early on a saturday and go to McDonalds and both of us get a Bacon Egg and Cheese Buscuit. We would sit on the curb of the park while I try to eat mine and feed him his at the same time, and then go skating in the parking lot next to the park. Yeah, that sounds like fun.

My World II

The following picture is a capture I took of a training module for PSTN to VoIP for Voice Telecommunications Equipment. Now, what upsets me the most about the following pictures is not how ridiculous it is (Oh yes, it is pretty stupid) but that A) Someone actually drew this, and B) I actually understand it.

My World II

A moment in time: 01:02:03 04/05/06.

This Wednesday, at two minutes and three seconds after 1:00 in the morning, the time and date will be 01:02:03 04/05/06.

You know, I would really love to do something fun for this. Anyone got any ideas? (Via BoingBoing)

Resonating I

So, from time to time I toss up some stupid post like this about what music is kind of resonating with me at that particular moment. This weekend there are two songs that are particulary reflecting kind of where I am right now. There was something really cool that happened to me last week. So, I guess thats why these two particular songs hit me.

The first being Eddie Money’s Take Me Home Tonight. Yeah, I know, corny, but for some reason I heard this song on Friday night out at the bars and it just struck me. Cheesy 80’s Rawk and all. And by the way, I love 80’s Music, so if you don’t like it you can just Shut You Pie Hole.

The second is The Fray’s Over My Head (Cable Car), cause… well… I am just feeling the song.

Late Addition: Jane’s Addiction Jane Says (Live Version) off the album Kettle Whistle (Sorry, would provide a link but nobody has the song so you can stream it.)

Request from Hollywood

So, my friend Melissa lives in LA and works in Hollywood at a talent agency as she is trying to become a writer. She needs some midwestern help with a project. She could use…

just a short description of any good memories people have from there [Busch Stadium] – waiting in line for tickets, memorable games, or personal stories that happened to them there, first dates, last dates, whatever

Update: What does this all mean? Well, it means you should tell your best Busch Stadium story in the comments section of this post and if it is too indecent to print there (I know my stories are) then send them to me in an email.

Exploring a Nike Missile Bunker in Missouri

Mike Ozark Missle Bunker

Without getting specific, we found a non-damaging way to get down into one of the underground chambers …

After a little while down there, while everyone was milling around doing their own thing, I figured out the elevator, although I didn’t immediately know it. I was playing with the controls and noticed that some lights that hadn’t been on before were now activated. So, not knowing if it would really work, I hit the button to open the launch bay doors.

The doors came SCREAMING open with a sound somewhat akin to the gates of Hell opening….
